Colorado July 3

We all arrived yesterday and had headaches and dehydration.  So today we decided to take an easy hike from Avon to Edwards.  We took the hike/bike Riverview trail which starts out nice and wooded but quickly gets to be open along the golf course and housing developments.  Cool big skateboard/bike park where little kids were dropping in with no fear.  Had lunch at Main Street Grill which had good food but not very friendly.  When we got back, we reserved bikes for a Friday Vail Pass to Vail run.  I plan to get a road bike and ride up to the top and meet the gang.

Becky's birthday today.  Dan is making spagetti dinner and then we are going to watch the fireworks at Avon.

Pirates 2011 - 7th Homestand

Heading to Colorado for vacation so I will miss the two series before the All-Star Game break.

Red Sox
Jun 24 - Mike goes with 6 seats that I bought for $9 each.  He ended up only needing 5.  Not sure what happened to the sixth.  Howard and Sam used the regular seats.  Great game, a little rain but no delay.  Lisa and Harry were over at friend's watching the game in between gourmet courses of coconut shrimp, risotto, and salmon with roasted vegetables.
Jun 25 - Sam and Harry go to fireworks night.  As the paper said, Overbay and Jones gave a us some fireworks during the game in addition to 3 long bombs from the Sox.
Jun 26 - Harry and Howard ride our bikes down to the game.

Pirates 5th Homestand

Birthday Present!!!
Lisa heads to Vegas so I go to all three Phillies games.  Howard and I went Jun 3 to see the shortest 12 inning game ever.  We beat Hamels.  Howard was suppose to go to Saturday so I bought a $5 ticket as it was a no trade night.  He didn't go, I put them on Stubhub for $24 and they were snatched immediately.  Got $40.80 into paypal.  Sam and I went to the Sunday game.  They lost but we got a ride from the 16th street bridge by this woman from Erie looking for the parking garage.

Howard and Justin went to the Jun 7th vs Diamondbacks.  They got an upgrade at the wheel.  Sam and I went to Jun 8th and saw another 12 inning game though much longer.  Cutch hit the walkoff home run.  Turned back Jun 9th and Howard and 3 other friends are going on an upgrade to section 316.  I am charging them $10 each.

Howard and I went to the Jun 10th gave vs the Mets.  We lost:(:(
Jun 11th Skyblast:: Put tickets on Stubhub.  Sold them for $58 in less than a couple of hours!!!
Jun 12th Sam and I went on Sunday afternoon.  We lost again :(:(

Jun 13th - I was in LA going to the Dodgers vs Cincinnati, rooting for LA but they lost.  Got a bobble head, Doyers Dog and Dos Equis.  Sam and Howard were watching the Pirates on TV beat the Astros

Pirates 4th Homestand

May 20-22 Tigers come to Pittsburgh
We headed to NYC to see Million Dollar Quartet and then up to Tufts for graduation weekend.  Missed this whole series.  Sold the Saturday night tickets for $10 each so we got $17.20 into paypal.  Turned back the other tickets. Did mike end up with 4 tickets for Sunday?

May 24-25 I was traveling, howard was still in Boston. Turned back the tickets

Pirates 2011 - 3rd home stand

Houston Game Friday May 6th.
Harry, Mike, and Ari.  Upgraded to section 316 row B.  Nice seats for the first 3 innings but it started raining so we sat in the back of the section for most of the game.

Dodgers Wed May 11th:
- Mike, Nathaniel, Mark (Mike's Friend), Harry and Sam.  We upgraded the tickets to section 316.  Game was pretty good except it was May and the Pirates are just not scoring...

Pirates Second Home Stand Apr 22-28

So between moving Mom's furniture to Baltimore, orchestra practice, and traveling to Boston the only game I was going to be able to see was the first game against the Nationals.  I did a few errands like getting boxes from the liquor store and shopping at whole foods and then I try to find the game on the radio as I head down town.  I can't find it!!!  After talking with Sam, I find that the game is postponed to Monday night.  I try to head back in time for a haircut and the game but can't leave early enough.  So I end up call Mike H. and he drives the Fit down, we have a peasahdic greek salad and are one of 1000 people watching the game.  We do win!!!   I missed the Giants though:(:(.
