May Pirate Games

- Went with Ed. We met downtown as we both rode our bikes. It was a beautiful night, the Pirates pitched and fielded well and we won. A quick game done by 9:30 and we had nice ride home in the dark up the jail trail and through the hollow.

April Pirate Games

I will use this post to keep track of my Pirate Games in April:
April 5 - Mike and Harry: Opening Day, rode our bikes down the Jail Trail. Arrived early enough to be the first in our section, 9 year old girl sang the Star Spangled Banner better than 9 of 10 times I have heard it. Jones hit two home runs, one bounced into the river, the other a short opposite field. Doumit hit a HR also along with Church hitting a bases loaded double coming off the bench. A fun run down between 2nd and 3rd. A 1-2-3 double play that we hit into.

April 7 - Harry and Sam go to Buc Night. 3's was the theme. Turns out there is 30,000 fans so parking, walking, and getting hot dogs was tough. Sam and I each had 3 hot dogs. The pirates loaded the bases 3 times and only scored once but it was the last time in the bottom of the 10th to win the game.

April 8 - Harry and Jim B. Jim bought me Primanti's and Yingling for lunch, 2 of my favorites. It was suppose to rain around noon but it held off. It was 75 at game start and by the time we left in the bottom of the 7th it was 50 and raining. Pirates were down 8 to 1 so there was not much to stay for.

April 16 - Michael took Ari and Nathaniel on a upgrade on the 3rd deck behind home plate. They loved the seats. Harry(bought a $5 ticket at the gate) showed up late after flying in late but the game was rain delayed for over an hour. First of the 3 games we took from Cincinnati!!! Walk off single if I remember right.
April 17 - Turned in
April 18 - Turned in
April 20 - Turned in
April 21 - Harry took Nathaniel. We thought it was Buck night but it turned out to be a poorly attended non-giveaway event. Nathianel wanted stay since we moved down to section 114 behind home plate even though we lost.
April 22 - Day game and Harry couldn't get anyone to go. Didn't turn in ticket but found a friend Howard K. who bought the ticket for $5. Game was the historic 20-0 loss. Harry left at 8-0 to get back to work as it was a very painful game after the last 2.

Tally for April
Harry - 7
Michael - 8
Money - $5 to Harry
